Troubleshooting Light Buster Backup and Utility Light That Doesn't Activate With Truck In Reverse

Question:

Utility function works as advertised, but light does not turn on when I put my 2015 ram 2500 in reverse. Any ideas?

In this case it would seem that your reverse light circuit just might not be properly connected to the 7 way connector on your 2015 Ram 2500. You'll need a friend to help you, but you'll want to test the pin in the center of the 7 way when your truck is put in reverse to see if that is receiving power. If it's not receiving power at the 7 way, then the # C8020 won't activate when you put the vehicle in reverse. To address this, you'll want to trace back that wire behind the 7 way to make sure that it's not damaged along the way.
