Recommended Parts To Flat Tow 2000 Jeep Wrangler

I would be happy to recommend the parts you will need to flat tow your 2000 Jeep Wrangler 4 Cylinder with your Motorhome.

Starting with a base plate kit I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521424-5 which is a confirmed fit on your 2000 Jeep Wrangler as long as you have the standard, or double tube front bumper.

For a compatible tow bar I highly recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-522 due to it being non-binding which means that you will be able to disconnect the tow bar from your Jeep from your motorhome even if you are not parked on even ground. The 6000lb weight capacity of the # RM-522 will be plenty for your Jeep.

The Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645 will work great with the mentioned base plate kit and tow bar.

For wiring I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-98146-7 which will add a 6-way connector to the front of your Jeep, and the included 7-way to 6-way cord will connect to the back of your motorhome. The included diodes will protect your factory wiring from feedback and damage.

Moving on to a supplemental braking system I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR due to the easy installation and since it can be easily removed when you are done flat towing. The Patriot applies braking pressure to your Jeeps brakes in with the same intensity that you apply the brakes in your motorhome for a safe flat tow experience.

Lastly you will more than likely need a high-low adapter to level your to bar to your motorhome. I included a helpful article on measuring for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.

It is always a good idea to check the flat towing section of the owner's manual for your Jeep for any restrictions regarding flat towing, and any required steps to be able to safely flat tow your vehicle.
