Determining if 2,000 lb Axle Needs 1-1/4 inch or 1-3/8 inch BT8 Spindle

Question:

I see on your website that you have two options for BT8 weld on round replacement spindles for a 2000lb. axle. What i need to know is, is there any way to tell which diameter stub I need without cutting the old one out first? Your part number TRU94FR shows a 1 1/4 dia. and part number TRU59FR shows a 1 3/8 dia. Just trying to figure which one i need, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

With trailer axle components there isn't typically a way to know what you need before getting into the hub/spindle area. Basically you'll need to remove your old one first and determine if you need the 1-1/4 inch BT8 part # TRU94FR or the 1-3/8 inch # TRU59FR.
