High and Low Gear and Slipping Tires On the Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover

Question:

1 Which gear is the high gear? The one closest to the tip of the jack or the one closer to the middle? 2 My trailer valet wants to just spin the tires on my marl driveway. Do you have any suggestions for best results?

On the Trailer Valet, # STC-V211, the top gear is the high gear and requires less effort to turn the handle but moves the wheels slower. The bottom gear is low gear, requires more effort to turn the handle, but moves the wheels faster.

If the tires are slipping then first go to high gear to move the wheels slower. Having more tongue weight would also help. This is similar to the idea of adding weight to the back of a truck in winter time to lessen the chance of the rear wheels sliding on snow and ice.

If you are going up an incline then backing the trailer up, instead of leading with the front up a hill, would provide more downward force at the tongue and allow the tires to grip.
