Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver And Cargo Carrier For 2013 Acura TL
Question:
I need a trailer hitch for my 2013 Acura TL with a 2 inch receiver so that it will be stable while using the Curt Cargo carrier model 18113. If I use a 1.25 inch receiver with an adapter, I expect the carrier to be unstable.

I may have another option but there is currently not a 2" trailer hitch receiver made for your 2013 Acura TL.
I recommend installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11496 which is a confirmed fit for your Acura but has a 1-1/4" receiver and a maximum tongue weight rating of 200lbs.
I do not recommend using a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter like the Brophy # HTAD due to the fact that using a hitch adapter reduces the tongue weight rating of the hitch by 50%, and since the Curt # C18113 you were looking at weighs 25lbs you would only be able to carry 75lbs of cargo.
Instead I recommend using the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # C18145 which weighs 29lbs, but since it will not require an adapter this option will allow you to carry significantly more weight.
It is important to verify the maximum tongue weight rating listed in your vehicle's owners manual, and use the lower rating between the trailer hitch receiver and vehicle.
I included a video for all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
