7 And 4 Pole Plug For Factory Tow Package Wiring On A 2018 Chevy Express Van
Question:
I have a 2018 chevy express van that I just installed one of your hitch receivers on. I also bought a wiring harness but I noticed under the rear of the vehicle there is a connector that looks like it should be for a trailer harness. Is there a plug in trailer harness that works for this connector?

If the plug was located along the drivers side frame rail on your 2018 Chevy Express Van, maybe taped up or rolled up inside the frame rail with 7 pins. It could have a cap on it to protect the pins, it is most likely the tow package wiring. I would test the plug first. If they test out then all you would need is the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End Item # HM40975 and a Curt No-Drill Bracket for 6-Way or 7-Way Round Trailer Connector Mounting Bracket - Long Item # C57202 to mount it to the hitch. I do recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz. Item # 11755 on your connections to help protect them from corrosion.
I have included a video which is on a 2014 however; the install should be the same and it walks you through how to install the bracket and apply the dielectric grease.
