Recommended Air Bags for 2013 Ford F-250 With In Bed Reese 5th Wheel Hitch and 6 Inch Lift Kit

Question:

Hello, What airbag kit do you recommend for a 2013 F-250 Super Duty with short bed. Note the truck has a 6inch lift and furnished with Reese 5th wheel brackets for the rails. Not sure if this affects anything just thought I should mention it. Thanks

The Firestone Ride Rite # F2597 you were looking at are compatible with your Reese 5th wheel brackets and are a great choice for your 2013 Ford F-250 short bed, but since you have a 6" lift you'll need to use the 6" lift spacer part # F2374, as well. This air bag system will do a great job at helping fight sag and will allow you to inflate each air bag individually so that you can compensate for off center loads.

I also recommend adding an on-board compressor system like the Firestone Air Command II - Analog Gauge w/ Heavy Duty Compressor - Dual Function - 150 psi # F2219, which will allow you to fill the bags on the fly, from the comfort of your truck's cab. This system has analog gauges that are easy to read and comes with a heavy duty compressor that can provide up to 150-psi of air pressure.
