Is it Normal for Tekonsha Primus to Show Two Dots When Vehicle is Off
Question:
I used the recommended prewired connector cable to match my 2010 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with tow package. It has the 7pin and 4 pin prewired connectors. I found the connector under the dash and connected the cable to the Trailer Brake. Why is the display on with the key removed from the ignition. It has two dots on the display. I have not hooked up to the trailer to finish the set up as I dont want to mess something up. The controller was used on a Ford F150 to pull the trailer I purchased. The Trailer Brake came with the trailer and I installed it with the recommended connection cable for the 2010 4runner. Thanks

What you are seeing on your Tekonsha Primus IQ part # TK90160 is normal. The controller has power all the time ran to it so it will show the two LEDs until it eventually goes to sleep after 10-15 minutes. Due to this it would not drain the vehicle battery.
