Recommended Suspension Enhancement for 2017 Ford F-150 with Roll Out Tool Box

Question:

Hi I have a 2017 F-150 that I have put a cap on and installed a full bed roll out drawer tool box. I would say the added weight may be 600 lbs or less. With the added weight from the unit and tools, the rear is sagging and the front end up a bit. I also occasionally tow my boat with my truck. My boat weighs 4,000-4,500 lbs. With the said circumstances, are you able to recommend the best rear enhancement system for my application Thanks

I have a solution for you, but the RoadActive Suspension kit # RAS3611-Y is probably going to be a bit of overkill and I would only recommend it for trucks that tow larger 5th wheel trailers or often test the limits of the payload capacity. Instead, the Sumo Springs Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-117-47 would do a great job and provide you with 1500-lbs of support for your rear end; this would be more than enough for the 600-lbs of your tool box and the 450-lbs or so when towing the boat. These jounce style springs will help fight the squat you're seeing and are an easy to install, maintenance free solution.

I've linked a review and installation video of these on a similar 2017 Ford F-150 for you to check out.
