Since the WeatherTech 2nd Row Rear Auto Floor Mat # WT448732 you purchased for your 2018 Mercedes-Benz Metris is still new, it will take a little bit of time and having the mat exposed to warm weather for it to fully conform to your floor.
WeatherTech did mention that you can also roll the mat the opposite direction for a few minutes which will also help it to lay flat.
