Solution for Lift Gate that Causes Lighting Issues When Lights are LED
Question:
Hello. I work for a company that installs chipper bodies on trucks. We have a 2020 freightliner truck that has amber led strobe lights, led back up lights, led running lights and led stop turn signal lights. We use these same lights in all our trucks with no issues but for one company, we also install a lift gate. When we activate the lift gate, the led tail lights and back up lights flash. When we open the drivers door and the dome light comes on, we activate the lift gate, the led lights do NOT flicker but once the door is closed they flicker again. We did try a set of non led lights and we dont have any problems. What can we do? Thank you in advance.

LED lights do draw considerably less than incandescent bulbs so one easy solution would be load resistors like the # DI34ZR that you referenced since these simulate the amperage load of an incandescent bulb.
