Trailer Ball Mount Recommended for 1-1/4 Inch Hitch on 2020 Toyota RAV4
Question:
Im trying to make sure I get the right one. I have the trailer hitch I purchased and ready to get the Ball Mount. The small cargo trailer I am looking to pull .... The top of the coupler at level for that trailer measures 16.5.inch I measure my receiver tube and the inside top looks to be almost 13 inches. Its the 1- 1/4 hitch. Im thinking I need a small rise option. Can you recommend the parts? Thank You

Thanks for the diagram, very well done there!
You've got roughly a 1-1/2 inch height difference between the inside top of the receiver tube and the underside of the coupler (14 inch coupler height minus 12.875 receiver height), so I'd go with a ball mount that provides a 2 inch rise like # 3593. This will leave your hitch ball high by a bit more than a 1/2 inch, but when the tongue weight of your small trailer is applied, the rear of the RAV4 will lower slightly putting you just about or within an inch of level, which is perfect. The ball mount includes the hitch pin, but the trailer ball is sold separately. For a 1-7/8 inch ball, use # 19256 or # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.
If you need the trailer wiring harness, I'd recommend the # C56434 from Curt. You can view an installation video by using the provided link.
