Trailer Brake Flange for a 3500-LB Axle
Question:
I have a project trailer that im working on and i want to add electric brakes. The axle does not come witha brake backing plate. My question to you is which is the correct flage to order for the brakes and axle that i have. Specs are below. 3500 lb axle size 2 7/8 round tube Electric brakes size bought Bolt across 4 in Bolt side to side 2 7/8

Typically, 3500-lb axles have a 2-3/8" diameter. If this is your correct axle diameter, then the correct mounting flange for you is part # 4-35.
If your correct axle diameter is in fact 3", then the correct mounting flange is part # DM52415.
We do not have a 2-7/8" axle option.
Either way, the flange will need to be welded on, so I recommend having a professional welder do this so they perfectly aligned.
