How To Determine If Motor Home Has A Separate Or Combined Lighting System
Question:
How do I determine if my motorhome has separate brake / tow light wiring or combined. The diagrams at https://www.etrailer.com/Tow-Bar-Wiring/Hopkins/38955.html are very useful, but how do I determine if my my wiring is separate or combined on my motorhome?

To determine if your motor home has a separate or combined lighting system, look at your tail lights. If you have an amber and red lens then yours is a separate system and will not activate the taillight functions on the towed vehicle properly through the 7 pole plug. Locate the factory wires under the RV. Test each wire to determine the functions and install the Roadmaster Brite-Lite Wiring Converter Item # RM-732. I have included a link to a video to help with instillation.
