Leaf Spring Replacement for 3,600 lb Boat that is 26 inches Long
Question:
I have a tandem ez loader boat trailer possibly 1988. From the spindles, bearings, brakes, I assume it has 3500# axles. The springs are 26 inches exactly from bolt center to bolt center. They have a slip U on one end. 1.75 inches wide and 3 leaves. Im assuming these springs are what I should order, but I am concerned that 4300# springs might be too much? Am I going to end up with a very stiff ride? The trailer is about 900#. The boat with fuel and such is going to be around 3600#.

The best leaf spring for your application is the item # e27SR which matches the 26 inch length you need and has a 4,500 lb capacity. This would have just enough extra capacity that won't fail but also would still flex enough to cushion the ride quality.
