Correct Bearing Kit and Brakes for Timbren Axle-Less 3,500 System with 4" Lift
Question:
I am looking at purchasing: Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4 Lift Spindle - Regular Tires - 3,500 lbs Item # ASR3500S06 This is going on a 2009 Coleman Evolution E3 popup camper. It currently has a 3500# axle that is damaged and needs replaced. I want to be able to reuse my hub and drum assembly and current wheels. The current wheels are 15, 5x4.5. I will need a new bearing kit for and also need new electric brakes. Will I be able to use the Timbren axles with my components and if so could you help direct me to the correct parts. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System part # ASR3500S06 will allow you to use parts from an existing 3,500 lb axle such as brakes, hubs, wheels etc. The spindle and brake mounting flange are no different than a traditional axle. In regards to a bearing kit, you can use the Bearing Kit for #84 Spindle part # BK2-100. The Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35-SA can then be used to replace the brakes.
