How to Carry Bikes on Front of 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Is it possible to use a trunk mounted bike rack on the front of a 2015 Chevy silverado? I have a cap on the bed and I pull a trailer. Id like to carry the bikes on the front of the truck if possible.

While it is possible for you to carry bikes on the front of your 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500, a trunk-mounted bike rack isn't going to fit as it is not designed for the front of vehicle so there is no way to securely mount it. Instead, what a lot of people do, and the route I recommend for you is to add a front-mounted hitch to your truck and a hitch-mounted bike rack.
The correct front mount hitch for your 2015 Silverado 1500 is the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31069.
I have added a photo showing this hitch installed being used to carry bikes on the front so you can see how it'll look on your truck. The only other thing you will need is a bike rack, and for that I recommend the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider 2-Bike Rack # HR200Z.
I really like this rack because it has a 5 inch rise in the shank to give you added ground clearance, which is important for front-mounted hitch that sits low, and because it comes with integrated locks to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your hitch, helping protect your investments.
