Recommended Tilting Bike Rack For 2 50lb Electric Bikes On 2014 Ford Mustang and 2016 Ford Edge

The best bike rack will depend on which hitch and vehicle you have since on some vehicle's the receiver is further under the bumper than others.

It looks like you were looking at bike racks for a 2014 Ford Mustang, and a 2016 Ford Edge.

The only hitches I can find for a 2014 Mustang are Class I, which limits which rack can be used as most racks are only for Class II and up. For this vehicle I recommend the Kuat NV 2.0 Base 2-Bike Platform Rack # BA12B which will work with a Class I 1-1/4" hitch, has a maximum weight capacity of 60lbs per bike, and accommodates tires up to 4.8" wide. Most Class I trailer hitch receiver's have a 200lb maximum tongue weight rating which will support the weight of the rack and the two bikes.

The 2016 Ford Edge could have a Class II 1-1/4" or Class III 2" trailer hitch receiver, which will open up the options. For this vehicle I recommend the Swagman Current Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # S64678 which can be used with either a Class II or Class III receiver, has a maximum weight capacity of 60lbs per bike, and accommodates tires up to 5" wide.

Both racks will be able to tilt away from the vehicle to help you better access your rear cargo area.
