What Can You Grill with the Furrion Over the Range RV Convection Microwave and How Does it Work
Question:
I can find no photo of the interior of this unit of the Grill Heater as it is called on page 7 of the manual. Is it worth it? Is it an actual exposed heating unit that browns like a broiler? Can you cook a steak under it? Thus far no one has been able to answer this question. And there is an urgency to find out as I need to replace the Furrion 1.5 asap.

I spoke with Furrion to double-check on this for you.
You are correct in that the element inside the Furrion Over the Range RV Convection Microwave, part # FMCM17SS, acts as a broiler. It's an exposed element that can be used to grill food like a broiler does.
Of course, this has reasonable limitations. As for steak, you can get away with very thin slices or pieces on a kebab, for example, but a full sirloin would be too thick to be able to cook through.
All in all, this won't replace a dedicated outdoor grill, but it can help with the smaller things that a large grill would be not worth setting up for. I've linked to the video review of this microwave for your consideration.
