Recommended Car Trailer Winch for Trailer with No Battery

Question:

Hello Im wanting to add a winch to my car trailer. I don’t want to add a battery to the trailer I was hoping to run it off of the trucks battery. Looking for a winch that was maybe movable so its not permanently on the trailer and could be stored away or used on another trailer. I see you sell quick connect that I can run from the battery to back of the truck. What winch would you recommend, and other components would I need or what is your advice. Thank you.

The Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch part # BDW15019 is a great affordable option for a car trailer winch. It comes with a wired remote for ease of use and a roller fairlead to prevent excess wear on the cable. It features an industry standard four bolt mount. It can indeed be removed but you would have to undo each of the four bolt each time and there's no way around this.

In regards to the wiring, we do have an option that allows you to power the winch from the vehicle battery using the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit part # BDW20207 which will also make for an easy quick detach system.
