Troubleshooting Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Not Having Power On 2021 Honda Pilot

Question:

I have my hitch installed. The wir harness for the hitch gives me trouble. I plugged them together left aft of my 21 Pilot behind the paneling but no power. Fuse is installed adjacent to plug. 3 fuses are installed in fuse panel. I also need a mounting bracket for the 7-way plug.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118286 on your 2021 Honda Pilot!

Since you mentioned that you already have the three fuses added to the fuse box in the engine compartment, I recommend checking that the ground in the rear passenger area is securely attached and that the plug for the connector is securely attached to the connector from your vehicle.

If the ground and connector are correct, you will need a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wiring that goes into the T-One Converter box, and the pins on your 7-way connector.

If you find that you do not have power coming into the converter box you will need to double check the fuses that you installed in the engine compartment. The included video of installing the # 118286 on a 2020 Honda Pilot will show the correct locations for the fuses.

For mounting the 7-way connector of your T-One # 118286 to the trailer hitch I recommend the # PK12711U and the # C57202.
