Can the Tow Ready Base Rail Lock be Keyed Alike

Question:

I have a SuperGlide 16K model 4100 hitch and would like to secure it with lockable 1/2inch hitch pins 3. What is the length of this pin from the bend of pin to the back of lock closest to the pin bend? Can I get 3 pins keyed alike? Thank you.

The Tow Ready Base Rail Lock for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # TR63254 that you referenced can not be keyed alike. However, having one installed should work as a theft deterrent. If someone was willing to cut one off they would probably be willing to cut two more as well.

The thing about theft deterrents is they keep honest people honest, but a determined thief will get what they want typically. So if a determined thief decides he is going to go to whatever lengths to steal your 5th wheel hitch-having two extra locks to deal with probably wold not stop him. However, if your average Joe sees your hitch and decides he wants it he would change his mind once he sees the lock.

I pulled a # TR63254 from our warehouse and found that from the base of the lock assembly to the start of the bend on the pin is 3-1/8 inches.
