Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer With a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I am new to this and plan to buy a small travel trailer. I need a hitch as my vehicle has nothing, it is 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee 8 cylinder. I want a class 4. Is there package that comes with the receiver, hitch, wiring etc. in other words everything I need, if not what do I need to source so I have everything I need? Thank you.

I do have everything you need to setup a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee for towing though there is not an all inclusive kit. In regards to the trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75699 because of the hidden crosstube design. It has a class III rating which is the highest available. For the trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118425 which is plug-in-play. For a ball mount/hitch ball, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.
These are the most basic parts needed to tow a trailer. If the trailer has brakes then you will also need a 7-way and brake controller, I recommend part # ETBC7 and part # TK63VR which is a great cost effective setup with proportional operation.
I have attached a list of weight distribution options below.
