How Difficult is Hitch Install on 2020 Mazda CX-5

I want to buy and install a hitch on my 2020 CX-5 to use for a bike rack. Would like to know how hard installation is and whether I can do it myself.

The hitch you need will depend on if your CX-5 has a Diesel or Gas engine.

For the gasser, use the Draw-Tite # 76138 or # DR44FR for the Diesel. The installation procedure for both is in the middle of the spectrum difficulty-wise with the # 76138 being a bit easier. If you're fairly handy and know which end of the screwdriver is which, I'm confident you'll be able to handle it. Really the only specialized tool you'll need is a torque wrench and if you don't have one you can borrow one from a neighbor or from the loan-a-tool service at an auto parts store.

I'll link you to an install video for the # 76138 and instructions for both. You can look them over and determine if the install is something you'd feel comfortable handling yourself. If not, any trusted mechanic should be able to complete the installation in give or take an hour.
