Difference Between HydraStar Disc Brake Kit HSE7K-TR1 & HSE7K-TR1SO for 7K Triple-Axles

Question:

I have a 2017 Grand Design Momentum 397 triple axle. How can I tell if I need the HSE7K-TR1 or the HSE7K-TR1SO. Also I would like to get the part numbers for the wet bearings and seals. Thanks in Advance

The difference between the two HydraStar Disc Brake Kits with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers is that one comes with a complete hub-and-rotor assembly while the other is just the slip-on rotors without the hubs.

What that means is that if you need new hubs with the brake kit you will want the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers - 13" Hub/Rotor # HSE7K-TR1.

If your hubs are in fine shape and you just want the kit with the slip-on rotors you will want the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers - 13" Rotor # HSE7K-TR1SO.

The # HSE7K-TR1 (the kit with the hubs) comes with bearings, races, and seals so those aren't needed separately if you go that route, but otherwise, for 7,000 lb axles for bearings, races, and a grease seal the correct part is the Bearing Kit, 14125A/ 25580 Bearings, 10-36 Seal # BK3-200.

Lastly, if you need a brake bleeder the correct part is the Powerbuilt Brake Bleeder # ALL648591, and for grease I recommend the LubriMatic Marine Trailer Wheel Bearing Grease # L54FR, and for a bearing packer I recommend the Bearing Packer # ALL647646.
