How much does each component head and base weigh? Does the head detach from the base easily for installation and removal?

The total weight of the Curt A20 hitch part # C16541 is 219 lbs. This hitch wasn't really designed for easy breaking down like you mentioned.
The Patriot Slider part # BWRVK3270 on other had was designed for this type of quick break down. It weighs less at 220 lbs total. The head weighs 51 lbs and the base 169 lbs.
