Weight Distribution Recommendation for 2021 Forest River Surveyor Legen 240BHLE

Question:

I am pulling a 2021 Forest River Surveyor Legen 240BHLE ~5400lb dry weight with a 2017 V8 Dodge Durango and need a recommendation on weight distribution system / sway bars... could you please recommend what should be looking for and/or specific product recommendations. Thanks

For your 2021 Forest River Surveyor Legen 240BHLE the best weight distribution with sway control is the Reese Strait Line part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and features the only sway control that works to fight sway before it starts.

The Strait Line system I mentioned would be considered the premium option. It has the best sway control and the best spring bar type as it's a trunnion system. If you were looking for something more budget orientated the round bar Fastway e2 part # FA94-00-0600 would be the way to go. It will get the job done and has a friction sway control that will help reduce sway from high winds/passing vehicles. The best bang for your buck is the Reese kit part # RP66541 which is a trunnion system similar to the Strait Line but without sway control.
