Recommended Dual 40-lbs Propane Tank Cover for Use on 1989 Pace Arrow in Southern Oregon
Question:
Hi, We have two 40#, 10 gallon propane tanks. We LIVE in oiur RV, and have for 20 years now. When one tank gets low, we switch to the other one. We are looking for a way to conceal both tanks, but, since we use them both constantly, Im not sure how that would work with the lid zipping around the top of the cover. Is it OK to cover the entire tanks when IN USE with the zip around portion of your double 40# cover? Im am just concerned about there being no air inside that cover, if that matters. Also, since the tanks are ultimately hooked up to the RV itself, Im not sure there is an accommodation for that hookup. I have a 1989 Pace Arrow if that helps. We were thinking more about maybe getting 2 separate tank covers, but Im not sure if that exists. Our tanks are round/actually oblong, so if your double 40# cover would not work for us, would you be able to recommend something that would work, since we switch back and forth frequently. Also, we live in Oregon, and sometimes in the Winter time it rains a lot and also snows. The snow is usually pretty light, if at all. We live in So. Oregon. Thanks so much

I'll start out by saying there really isn't any reason you can't put a tank cover on your propane tanks and air flow around the tanks isn't really going to be of any concern. Additionally, propane tank sizes are going to be fairly universal depending on their capacity so if you've got standard 40-lbs tanks (10 gallon), the Dual 40-lbs Propane Tank Cover # 290-2114 you were looking at will work just fine.
This cover has zippers to provide access to your propane hoses and an open bottom so you can run the supply hoses out of those zippers or out of the bottom of the cover. These will provide your components like the regulator and pigtail hoses with good cover from rain and snow, and are a great choice for your 1989 Pace Arrow.
We don't have a single 40-lbs propane tank cover currently available, so the dual cover would be the best option. If you can send a photo of your propane tanks, I'm happy to confirm whether or not this cover will work for you.
