How to Choose Correct Replacement Leaf Springs for Boat Trailer

Question:

I need 4 24” X 1-3/4” four-leaf springs for boat trailer. If so, would they include grommets? If you have in inventory, please send quote. Thanks.

How did you measure the length of your existing leaf springs? As they wear out, leaf springs will flatten out, making them longer than when new. The best way to get an accurate measurement for a replacement spring is to jack up the trailer so that the axles are hanging free, then measure for length.

The # SP-179275 slipper spring you looked at is for a 2000 lb axle, and measures 24-5/8 inches in length which is in the neighborhood of where your springs were length-wise when they were new. If by grommet, you're speaking of the bushing that fits in the spring eye, yes the nylon bushing is included.

If you can get the length measurement as described above the weight capacity of your axles, and tell me if you need a slipper or a double-eye spring, I can more accurately recommend replacement springs. I've linked to some articles about trailer suspensions that you might find helpful.
