Can Swagman XTC-2 TILT Bike Rack Travel on the Highway
Question:
Swagman XTC2 tilt platform bike rack. How safe traveling at 65 mph on expressways? Also 1 bike is a Giant Revive step through do I need a bar for that bike?

Expert Reply:
Traveling on the highway will not cause any issues whatsoever for the Swagman XTC-2 TILT 2-Bike Rack # S64671.
There are no specific speed restrictions and the rack will stay secure in your hitch with its included pin and clip. I do recommend adding a lock to protect your investment, and it has the added benefit of being an anti-rattle device, the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin for Swagman Hitch Racks # S64029.
In regards to the adapter bar, according to the manufacturer one is required for bikes with a step-through frame with the Swagman XTC-2 TILT 2-Bike Rack # S64671, so I recommend the Rhino-Rack Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes # RRRBCA021.
