Weight Rating Of C16046 Curt A25 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram OEM Tow/Prep Puck System
Question:
I see you have the Curt A25 C16046 listed at 24K trailer weight, why? when curt has it speced out at 25K on their website. I am very confused.

Expert Reply:
The Curt A25 hitch head itself is indeed rated for 25K, but when the hitch head is used with the Curt leg kit for the OEM Ram puck system the hitch is only rated for 24K. This is because the puck system is only rated for 24,000 lbs per Ram. So, long story short, the limitation lies with the puck system on the truck itself, and not with the hitch. I hope that clears things up for you.
