Replacement Converter for Magnetek 6332 with Inverter and Transfer Switch

Question:

With Magnetek 6332C servicing an old trailer currently with a lead acid battery bank, what is the best way to update the converter/charger with PD4635V I think and adding an inverter to route AC from the battery into RVs AC power plug circuits when the shore/gen power is not available for dry camping? I think I understand a role of ATS to switch between the shore and the inverter AC sources but not clear of 1 how to or if I can turn off the charger in PD4635 when using the inverters AC to feed the RVs AC plug circuits and 2 how best to feed the DC distribution fuse box in 6332c. If the inverters AC goes to the converter via the ATS to feed the DC distribution box in 6332, it seems inefficient making DC to AC then back to DC. I wonder if there are any smart way to update this without rewiring much of cables... Thank you for your wisdom...

The Replacement Converter for Parallax/Magnetek or WFCO RV Power Centers # PD4635V that you referenced was designed specifically for replacing the 6332 model Magnetek converter you have so this would work great. You'd remove the converter you have now and install this in it's place.

You would need to use a transfer switch like the part # PD52 as well to go between shore power and generator power. The panel was designed for adding a transfer switch and has a section in the attached instructions link that details how the transfer switch wires to the panel so that the panel portion gets power from either source.
