Which Trailer Hitch Receiver For MOPAR Off Road Bumper On a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Anniversary Edition

Question:

I bought 98856 trailer hitch for my 2016 Anniversary edition 2 door jeep. When I went to install I noticed there were already 4 bolts in the mounting place and the bolts were threaded into the bumper. The bumper is different than the standard bumper on this edition. I am not sure what to do? Can I remove those bolts, mount the hitch and then reuse them through the hitch and screw back into the bumper? I do have pictures available if you lead me on how to send them to you. Help!

I do have an option for you, but the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98856 you purchased will not be able to work with the rear bumper on your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Anniversary Edition.

You will need to use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR which is the only trailer hitch receiver that will work with your rear bumper. I included a picture of the instruction manual that shows you how to install the Draw-Tite # DT78MR with the MOPAR Off Road Bumper # 82213654.
