Installing Tow Ready # 118561 Trailer Wiring Harness on 2013 Honda CR-V

Question:

No problem with the hitch installation and Im sure the wiring harness will fit great, however the instructions for removing the panels are for a 2012 CRV. Do you have updated instructions with good photos.....Thanks

2012 and 2013 Honda CR-V models are both of the fourth generation of the vehicle.

According to Tow Ready, the panel removal procedure for the 2013 model would very similar as that shown in the instructions for the # 118561. Tow Ready typically does not update installation instructions unless there have been major changes to the vehicle. I've linked you to an install video showing the # 118561 being installed on a 2013 Honda CR-V.

To briefly summarize the procedure, you will need to remove any fasteners that secure the drivers side interior panel in the cargo area. This includes any push pins and cargo hooks which could vary in location and number from what is shown in the instructions. Once the fasteners are removed, gently pry the interior panel away from the vehicle as shown in in photo C of the instructions.
