Why Does Trailer Wiring for 2001 Dodge Caravan Require Converter Box
Question:
Why do I need a harness with a convertor for 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. Is it possible to use flat four plug without a convertor? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The reason your 2001 Dodge Caravan needs a taillight converter is because it has it's stop light circuit and blinker circuit on separate wires whereas standard trailer wiring has these two circuits combined. So this harness # 118376 combines the circuits like needed and also installs easily on your vehicle since it plugs inline with the factory vehicle wiring.
