No Trailer Stop/Turn Signals On a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

Question:

I am struggling to solve the problem of my 2011 ram 1500 not providing power to my trailers left brake/ turn signal. I can seem to find any answers. Is there a specific fuse for this that Im not seeing? How can I also remove my 7 pin receptacle to use my multimeter to check for power on the wires?

This is more than likely going to be caused by the TIPM which controls the internal trailer lighting module. It will need to be replaced by the dealer as you cannot repair it yourself or I can give you a much more cost effective option to bypass it. This would entail using the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter part # 119178KIT and the 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat Adapter part # ETBC7.

If you would like to test the wires behind the factory trailer connector, you can probe them by piecing the jacket without removing the connector.
