We have many bike racks that will fit on a 2005 Pontiac Vibe. The two different styles would be a trunk bike rack and a hitch bike rack. The trunk design bike rack will use straps to clamp to the rear hatch of your vehicle. A hitch design bike rack will insert into a hitch on your vehicle so it will require a hitch to be installed on your vehicle.
For a trunk bike rack I would recommend the Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack, part # Y02638. This bike rack has lot of extra features like the one piece padded feet and the QuickTrigger hub system that will allow you to install the bike rack quicker and easier. It has a weight capacity of 90 lbs for three bikes.
In the hitch bike rack design I would recommend the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack, part # S63360. This bike rack is one of our most popular hitch bike racks. It has a weight capacity of 70 lbs for two bikes. I am including a link to a video review on the Swagman bike rack.
If you need a hitch on your Vibe to use the Swagman hitch bike rack I would recommend the Draw-Tite Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 24812. I am including links to the installation instructions and a video of the hitch being installed on a Pontiac Vibe.
If you are going to be carrying womens or childrens bikes that do not have the horizontal bar at the top of the frame, you will want to use the Yakima Bike Adapter Bar, part # Y02531. It attaches to the center seat post and to the handlebar post and provides a horizontal bar, so the bike can ride level on the bike rack. I am including a link to a video review on the Yakima adapter bar.
