Trailer Hitch Receiver Height on 2013 Ford Escape Titanium and Fixed Ball Mount
Question:
I have a 2013 Ford Escape Titanium with 19 wheels. I was hoping you would know the installed receiver height for the Draw-tite hitch #75758. I saw a previous answer that the receiver height was 14 for a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium. Is it the same- not sure if the 19 wheels make a difference. I would rather just buy one ball mount that is the correct height. Thanks.

The Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75758 will likely be around the same 14 inches you referenced. The 2014 Titanium we installed this on was 14-1/2 inches. The tire size is the same but the suspension wear and any cargo in the rear of the vehicle can change that height.
To get the correct ball mount for your trailer, you will want to measure from the ground to the bottom of your trailer coupler when the trailer is level and then subtract the 14 inches of the hitch height. The difference will be the rise or drop you need to get the correct ball mount. I've attached an article to assist and have linked the page to your options to assist.
For your trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118566. You likely will also want the mounting bracket # 18144.
