If there are any restrictions on the use of tire chains for your 2008 Ford F-150 with tire size 265/65-18, then it should be listed in the owners manual. Take a look in the owners manual for any tire chain information. We show several tire sizes for the 2008 Ford F-150 but not 265/65-18. There is a 265/60-18 so you will want to double check that size.
If you do end up having 265/60-18 tires and do not plan on using them too often or if you do not live in an area where chains are required, I recommend a set of cables, # PW3027C, with tensioners # PW99. These will keep you legal and safe.
For more robust chains for more frequent use I recommend # PWE3227SC. The square links on this set offer the best traction and the cam tighteners make installation easier. I have included some links on tire chains for you.
If you do have 265/65-17 then for infrequent use you can use # PW2028C with tensioners # PW99. For more frequent use and better traction use # PWE2228SC.
