Testing Connector of 2019 Chevy Express to Determine if it's Factory Wiring

Question:

Installing a tensha wiring kit went on here to see where most run the cord down to the receiver, but noticed a wire that looks to have 8-12 wire connector attached to the rear frame by the bumper, wondering if this is a factory lighting? if so I already bout the 2 4 flat set up and the 7 tab for braking..... any help would be great :

That we are aware of the connector you found on your Express is not factory trailer wiring. You could try probing the pins of the connector with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 when you apply the stop and turn signals to see if any of the pins activate. If so, you'd only be able to get trailer wiring that fits this from a Chevy dealer.

Either way your current trailer wiring you bought will work fine as it is designed to bypass any factory wiring.
