How to Remove a Fit Kit From Thule Evo Clamp Foot and Replace with a New Fit Kit

Question:

I have a Thule 5148 fit kit installed on my Thule Evo clamp. How do I uninstall the fit kit to switch over to Thule 5002 fit kit? When the 5148 kit was installed it clicked in place...how do I unclick it?

In order to take the old Thule # TH145148 fit kit off of your Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4 # TH710501, you'll need the hex tool that came with the Evo feet; you'll want to unscrew the internal bolt using that tool until it loosens enough for the old fit kit to be removed. Once you've done that, you can install your new Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet - 5002 # TH145002 and be good to go.

If you don't have the old torque key, you will need a 3Nm torque key which is available with part # TH73JV.
