Parts Needed to Install Curt Spectrum Brake Controller in 2020 Kia Sorento
Question:
I have a 2020 sorento and I bought the Curt 4 way flat to 7 and 4 pt# 57674 harness to go with my curt 51170 break controller. Is there an adapter that I can get to connect these to my factory wiring or do I need to buy a different wiring package?

The part you mentioned, the Curt Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole # C57674 is just a 7-way and doesn't have the rest of the parts required in order to install the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 in your 2020 Kia Sorento. Keep in mind you will also need the Universal Wiring Adapter for Curt Trailer Brake Controllers # C51515.
I'm not sure what you have in your Sorento so to install this you will first need to have a 4-way, and if you don't have one already the correct part will depend on if your Sorento has the factory tow package or not.
- With Factory Tow Package: Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # C56332
- Without Factory Tow Package: Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56256
The other part that is needed normally is the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7, which has a 7-way connector, circuit breakers and the rest of the hardware needed for install, but because you already have the 7-way you will only need the wiring and hardware, which you can get with the Wiring Kit for Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506.
I have added links below to some video reviews and a help article on brake controller installation for you as well which may be helpful.
