Why Do Some Trailers Have Different Color Wires?

Why are some trailer have blue and some have yellow. My trailer has green red brown yellow white black.

Trailer wire color varies depending on the trailer. ALWAYS go by function and not by color. Regardless of what kind of connection # PK12703 you're using. I would look at your trailer's manual or you can just test the function. I've included a diagram to help you with the testing and setup of your trailer.
