Trailer Hitch Receiver Recommendation for Hitch Mounted Bike Carrier on 2020 Mazda CX-5
Question:
Hi! Do you have a preference to the two mounting styles? etrailer # e98902 side frame mount DrawTite #76138 bottom frame mount. I am not going to tow only using it for a bike rack. Sleek and most hidden is my priority. Thank You

Both the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76138 have the crossbar behind the rear bumper, only leaving the receiver to be visible on you 2020 Mazda CX-5. I do not have a preference between the two different mounting styles.I attached a picture of what you will see with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 installed.
I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 because after installing both of these trailer hitch receivers on Mazda CX-5's we found that the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 offers about 1inch more ground clearance than the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76138. I included the installation video of the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98902 for you to take a look at.
If you do not have a bike carrier yet, I recommend taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro Tilting 4 Bike Rack # TH934XTR which comes with anti-sway cradles and allows for the rack to tilt to access the cargo area of your CX-5. I attached the review video of the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR for you.
