Adding a 7-Way Connector to a Factory 4-way Connector on a 2004 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2004 f150. I purchased a 4flat to 7 blade and 4 flat part number 47185 Hopkins connector and a Hopkins break controller agility part number 47294. My truck has a four-way in the back which plugs into my Hopkins connector and converts it into a 7 way And and my Hopkins brake controller along with my connector harness for my brake controller part number 47715 Hopkins connector . My question is do I still need to add a 40 amp circuit breaker and a 30 amp circuit breaker, along with a inline fuse holder?

When the black wire and blue wire from your Hopkins Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185 are attached to the orange and blue wire from the existing harness your 2004 Ford F-150 you will not need to use a circuit breaker or an inline fuse holder as the factory circuit already has those. I included a review video of the Hopkins Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185
You will find the connector I referenced under the driver side of your vehicle below the bed, I attached a few pictures of the connector to help you find it. The orange wire of your vehicles connector needs to be cut from the connector and will attach to the black wire of your adapter, and the blue wire of your vehicles connector will need to be cut from the connector and will attach to the blue wire of your adapter.
You may need a few feet of Deka Jacketed 2 Wire, 10 Gauge, Brake Wire # 10-2-1 added to the Hopkins Adapter # 37185 to be able to reach the factory connector.
I attached a helpful article goes over installing a 7-way connector on your vehicle with a factory 4-way connector.
