What Trailer Hitch Extender To Open Tailgate With Accessory Attached 2017 Ford F150

I have an F1 50 truck with a hammaka adapter for two Hammock chairs. I am wondering if I attach this if it will enable me to the tailgate so I can use that as a table when the chairs are suspended from the hitch.

As long as the trailer hitch receiver on your 2017 Ford F-150 and your Hammaka adapter are both 2x2inch the Brophy Hitch Extender # ST18 will fit. The Brophy Hitch Extender # ST18 will reduce the maximum tongue weight of your trailer hitch receiver by one-third so be sure to check the maximum tongue weight rating on your trailer hitch receiver to make sure that you will still have enough tongue weight rating for your hammock chairs.

One thing to keep in mind with using trailer hitch extenders is to make sure that the maximum tongue weight rating of the trailer hitch extender isn't so low that you can't safely use your hitch mounted accessories.
