We offer many rooftop cargo carriers ranging from baskets to boxes and even bags. Before you load a cargo carrier on the roof of your 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I recommend installing a roof rack if you do not already have one.

If you do not already have a roof rack on your Jeep, then I recommend the Thule roof rack, which consists of the 60 inch SquareBars, # TH712500, and the Rapid Gutter Feet, # TH300R. The feet of this roof rack mount on the rain gutters on your vehicle.

You could get a cargo box like the Thule Sidekick Roof Mounted Cargo Carrier Box, # TH78GC. The cargo box will also protect your cargo from the elements, but I would also recommend wrapping valuable cargo in a plastic bag to keep it from getting wet during extreme conditions.

It is important that you check your owners manual or with a Jeep dealer verify the weight capacity of your Jeeps roof before you load any cargo. The Thule roof rack that I recommended does have a weight capacity of 165 lbs, but vehicle roof weight capacities are often less.
