There are a few possibilities that could be causing the problem with the running lights for your 2014 Ford F-150's trailer.

First, when you reconnected the wires, there may still be some of the wiring exposed. If that wiring is touching the metal frame, it could be grounding out the running lights. That would prevent them from functioning. Make sure none of the wiring is touching the frame of your trailer (except for where the ground wire is supposed to, of course).

Second, when the circuits blew, they may have sent shorts up through your 4 or 7-way. Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the harness on your vehicle to make sure everything is functioning properly. That will also help you determine if the problem is on the vehicle side or the trailer side. If things aren't working properly on the vehicle side, something might have blown in the harness itself, and it may need to be replaced.

Third, some of the circuits may have gone bad when they were pinched. If the above solutions don't solve your problem, check each wire to make sure they aren't fried somewhere. If you find any signs of this, replace that wire. You can use part # 10-1-1 for that.

If those solutions don't solve your problem, let me know and I will assist you further.
