Will SumoSprings for 2020 Ford F-350 Bottom Out With Heavy Capacity

Question:

I just purchased the SuperSprings SumoSprings #SSR-127-54 for Rear Axle of 2020 Ford F-350 4x4 and my 5th wheel has a dry hitch weight of about 2400 lbs. As you my know a lot of the cargo weight is in front of the axle causing more weight. I have 2100 bs of cargo weight and without weighing, Im guessing I have around 3400 lbs which is in excess of the 2800 lbs for these springs. My question is will I have a problem with these possibly bottoming out or will I be able to get the right adjustment with the spacers? Thanks

That's a good question, but the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-127-54 that fit your 2020 Ford F-350 are not going to bottom out despite the fact you have more than the 2,800 lb capacity rating of the springs.

That weight rating is just the amount of weight it takes to compress the spring down to 50 percent of its original height. The added weight you are putting on them will not bottom them out and they'll still be beneficial to your truck when towing your 5th wheel.
