Recommended Interior Light and Switch for Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

I just purchased a 2016 Nitro hybrid 101x12 snowmobile trailer, and Im looking to add some LED interior lighting. It currently has a small single light fixture located near the front access door. The trailer has a person access door on the left side. I was thinking it would be nice to have a wall switch mounted just inside the door , with some LEDs on either ceiling or the wall. The only issue I see with mounting on the ceiling rails are that they have a slight bend in the middle of the trailer so the roof has a slight pitch to shed rain. What are your recommendations?

I recommend using the # ILL35CB, which can be mounted on the ceiling and are small enough at 5" long x 2" wide that mounting shouldn't be an issue with a roof that has a slight pitch/curve and require 4 screws to mount. I think the ceiling mounted lights provide you with a bit better overall illumination which is why I would prefer them to the # ILL72CB you were looking at, which would need to be mounted on the walls most likely.

I'll also throw out another solution that's less conventional, but might work as well. You could use a strip light like the Buyers Products LED Light Strip - Warm White Light - 90 Diodes - 60" Long # 3375626090. These are a flexible strip light that you can tack up around the perimeter of the trailer ceiling and provide a nice solution for lighting the entire trailer.

For a switch, you can use the Pollak Light-Duty Toggle Switch - On-Off - 12 Volt - 10 Amp - 6" Wire Leads # PK34513, which can be mounted in the wall near the side door.

I've linked a review video of this ceiling mounted light for you to have a look at.
